Maybe we're seeing different things, but while the P'kal looks like it's ground from thinner stock than the Yojimbo, I see more material behind the point on the P'kal due to the steeper angle at the tip, and more blade thickness at the tip as the (secondary?) grind is not nearly so high on the P'kal as it is ground at the Yojimbo's edge.
The hollow-ground Dodo and the P'kal look to be ground from the same thickness stock, fwiw.
I've never broken the tip off any of my Spydercos, nor any of my kitchen knives for that matter, so I guess it all depends on what you were intending to do with your knife?
