After selling my PM2 S35VN about 2 months ago I realized that I had made a grave mistake. I
just purchased a replacement here for a very reasonable price. I now feel whole again.
I think it is one of the best reasonably priced PM2's out there. I find that the cutting edge lasts a long time and is easier to sharpen than S30v. I have another 5 PM2's and I find that it is the best balance of edge retention, ease, of sharpening and price point of most of the others. I don't like to carry the expensive ones and I wanted something with better edge retention than the S30V and for me this is it.

Weirdly I want one because my blue M390 PM2 doesn't go with all of my pants, but the combination of a blue PM2 and a brown one would cover all of my bases.

I have the M390 and I agree with you about the scales, a little too loud for me. The M390 is much more difficult to sharpen. That is actually why I like the S35VN. I had been carrying the S110V Blurple. Great blade but again hard to sharpen.

I really like the color, but I wear the same five dress shirts and dress pants to work all the time, and some of the color combos don't lend themselves to a bright blue knife sticking out of my pocket. I love the blurple color, S110V, not quite so much. I'll probably address the issue by getting a Para 3 in plain black.

I got the S35VN on secondary secondary market LNIB for the same price as a new PM2 S30V.

I like the Blurple/S110V because it matches my Blurple pants.

I do like the Blurple color though & S110V. It actually is a good color with Jeans.

Great choice. I really like the color and texture of the S35VN PM2 the most I think of all my Spydies and it is a great steel. The blue G10 on my M390 PM2 looks a lot better now that it has gotten dirty. Still not nearly as good as the brown though.

When I like the knife a lot but don't like the color of the scales I use Rit to dye them. Its really easy and black always work for me.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I’m looking for an S35vn PM2, I’ve managed to find two places that have them in stock.

Is this usual? From what I understand the S35vn spring run was quite some time ago. Is there any chance these are seconds etc?

Thanks for any advice you can offer folks.

The S35VN was not a sprint run. It's a distributor exclusive and there have been multiple runs.
Just make sure you're buying from a legit dealer so there's no question of authenticity.

Buy it from @Jordan@DLT with confidence.

I like the S35VN version because I wear khaki pants at the office, and while it's not a real knife friendly environment, I can somewhat "conceal" the S35VN PM2 pretty easily at work. The silver clip could be a pen to a passer-by, and the brown scales blend in pretty well to the pants.

S35VN is a great steel, I appreciate its edge retention and how easy it is to sharpen. I have as many CRKs as I do PM2s... so I put a pair of Ti scales on my S35VN PM2 :D

I’ll take s30v over s35vn any day. It is marginally harder to sharpen but it’s egde retention is better.

I have to say, Jordan at DLT is amazing, and I’m not saying that lightly. I emailed to ask if he could check the PM2 blade centreing as it’s being sent out internationally, after I sent the email I noticed I’d already had a shipping notification email from DLT already! Jordan replied quickly, luckily he managed to open the box and check, as it was already sat waiting for USPS pick up. I honestly don’t remember getting customer service this good before, and their shipping is lightning fast too.

So, massive thanks to Jordan for the effort and the help! I’ll definitely be back for more.

DLT has great CS and I've had @Jordan@DLT check my order before as well. The only thing I would say would improve DLT for me is free shipping. So many times I wanna purchase a knife but it's under 100 bucks so I try to wait until I have a big enough order.

DLT is great though!

You know, I've always thought they were similar in edge retention but S35vn was a little easier to sharpen. I have S30v in my pocket now but no S35vn to compare it with these days.
