If I am truthful with myself, and if the blades were not stamped what they were, based on the daily uses of my knife I would not know the difference. I do really like the brown scales and I have got great performance from the s35vn steel but I honestly cant tell the difference. Sorry if that makes me loose my knife nut card.

I always thought it was a "tougher" steel. Nice to have something different stamped on the blade, easier to sharpen, and like you; I dig the brown. I would be happy if most knife scales were black, brown, or some other drab color.

I already have a PM2 in S30v, I really want to try S30vn. I have to admit, I do really like the brown scales though!

Same here, lol. I bought mine for the brown scales! I guess I’m not a true knife knut either, haha.
