Machined aluminum Para Military 2 scales. They are bead-blasted and hard anodized ( http://www.wisegeek.org/what-is-hard-anodizing.htm ) a dark green. One of the pictures in the next post shows a 'fresh' scale next to one that has been sand washed in my tumbler for 3 days... there is slight wear of the bead blast finish, but the color is nearly unchanged. To get to the point, the finish is tough. Weight is about the same as the OEM G10 scales. G10 is really light, so this is partly due to the fact that this set only utilizes the lock-side liner. Fit is tight.

They were designed here in Washington State and machined in Oregon. Material was sourced stateside.

I have a few sets available, all in this green color, and all with the 'Golden Ratio' design. A set with a titanium clip is $70, or $58 without a clip if you prefer to run clip-less or use the OEM Spyderco clip. Shipping is $5. I guarantee them for life, so if you don't like them, I'll replace them or refund your purchase price. I also have some 6AL-4V titanium sets that are almost done - they are just getting some finishing and should be ready to go soon. (Those will be $102 with clip, $90 without.)

Paypal is thelastleaf@fastmail.fm.

Please shoot me a PM or email with any questions.

Thanks Leg! I appreciate it.

You know what, I'm glad you mentioned that. I started doing this so guys could buy custom stuff at a reasonable price. I'm not in it to make a killing. Anyways, I've adjusted the pricing to that end. Thanks bro! ;-)

Man you do some great work! The Ti clips you make are great, but those scales are at a whole other level!

As a fellow scale maker who is almost done with my first para II handles.... NICE WORK!

This knife has been the biggest challenge for me so far. Good luck with sales!

ok, those are going to make me keep my pm2 just to get a ti set from you. lemme know when there done and put me in for a set. that would make my pm2 a full ti blade just like i like them.

keep up the good work and send me a message when there finished with pics and were to send funds.

Hey 28 - getting the lanyard tube out of the OEM scales and in to these can be difficult for sure. That specific part was designed by Spyderco to be compression fit, and it's sometimes a bear to get out and then back in, even when staying with the OEM scales. The upside of that is that it fits really tight. I've sold quite a few sets so far, and haven't heard from anyone about having too much trouble with assembly. But it does take a little patience because the tolerances are super tight (which means really good fit and finish).

Hey Tom - the sets pictured are the green ones. I guess they are kind of a greyish green, but the colors in the photo are pretty true.

1Shot - I have the ti sets ready to go, I just need to get up some photos of the different finish options. Those will include bead blasted, anodized, and an anodized/brushed finish that will look similar to the Kershaw 4040 Ruby, but with bronze or blue details instead of black : http://www.edgeobserver.com/kershaw-ruby-4040/
If you're interested in a set, let me know and I'll get one out to you. I'm out of town but am hoping to have some pics up in the next couple days.

Casey,

I sent you a PM. I would love to see a picture of your PM 2 Ti scales with the anodized/brush finish & blue details, if you have any.

Thanks! Happy & Prosperous New Year!

John

Hello Casey,

I could be (finally) in the market for a set of those Ti ones. I'm looking for a set that's very shiny, like nice clean cut Ti. Along with a feathered clip, of course.

Your thoughts?

Hey John are Rare- I will get some pics up this weekend, no fooling this time. Sorry for the delay, I always seem to be behind.

You betcha Chuck, I've been working on a polished variation. I'll make sure to get pics of that up as well.

Thanks fellas!

Casey
