I have just aquired a fully serrated G-10 Police model. I am very impressed with the size of the knife plus how well it carries in my pocket. The blade is just a hair over 4" long and basically has the standard spyderco Endura shape. It is made of ATS-55 and is flat ground (which I prefer). The Stainless steel handled version is not flat ground. The blade is actually quite thin. A thin, flat ground blade with full serrations, equals tremendous shearing potential. The blade has the word "Police" engraved into it, which is a nice touch for all us LE folks out there. The handle of the knife is made of G-10 and is shaped just like the Stainless version. It is very thin, and comfortable. All of the edges have been rounded off. The pivot screw is adjustable and is accessable without removing the clip. The black pocket clip is centered atop the pivot end of the knife for tip down carry. The liner of the knife is made of stainless steel and is on the clip side only, just like the older Civilian model. I'm guesing that's how Spyderco was able to keep the weight and "fatness" of the handle down. The lock is a back lock. I also prefer this on a user that I will carry on duty. The backlock along with the thumb hole, makes an ambidextrous package. If Spyderco could just make the clip reversable the knife would be perfect. I bought the knife 2 weeks ago and have carried it everyday. My rotation has stopped with this knife. I originally was going to get the Stainless handled version untill I handled this one. You don't have to worry about handle scratches, and you can adjust the pivot point. I feel this knife will lend itself well to any number of chores you may throw at it including self defense. Go out and buy one, and if your unhappy you can send it to me free of charge. I'd be glad to take it off your hands.

The G-10 version is much better IMO than the stainless version. The G-10 is lighter and grippier. The flat grind is also a big plus. They really did an excellent job of updating a classic.
