I wanted to let you Spyderco owners know that today I got my new Military G-10 plain edge S30V in the mail.

I asked the dealer to inspect the knife for fit n finish, blade centering, proper lock-up. Essentially asking for a perfect expample of the standard Military.

I didn't open it for a couple of hours as my wife and I had to go out on some errands. I carefully opened my box not knowing what to expect and what I got was the most perfect Spyderco Military ever made. Yeah, better than yours!! :p

It really paid off to phone my pusher in advance and talk about the bad experience I had previously and add in the checkout page, that I wanted a 100% perfect knife. He delivered. Kudos to Spyderco and Roger at KW's for this excellent knife.

Happy ending of my story! :D:D

It's great to hear you finally got a Spyderco you're happy with. I hope you enjoy it and use it well !

Thanks NJerzy154 - it's really well made, very sharp and will see it's share of pocket time too!

Doesn't sound like a sensible story to tell in the first place as you were all talking about how great the vender's customer service was which had nothing to do with Spyderco's QC?

00max00, yeah it's a dumb story. I wish I wouldn't have posted it. 00ChevyScott I bet your right. Is 00max00 related to you? Kidding...have fun kids, I'll be enjoying my new Military! :D

It wasn't a dumb story at all. You stated that you got a perfect fit and finished knife from spyderco. That definitely sounds like it pertains to spydercos quality control. Don't listen to the posters above you. Some people always seem like they have a bug up their ass.

Have fun with your new military. I haven't gotten a perfect one yet, but I still love the two I own. Gotta be one of spydercos best.

Glad you have realized this is kind of senseless... I am by no means against Spyderco as am a Spydie fan myself. I own many higher priced Spydercos, while like most production premium brands, they have issues here and there, but overall quality is solid. But your behavior was really confusing, and by calling others "kid" won't make you more mature than what you are, judging by the completely disconnect between your subject and its content.

And you sir, are absolutely clueless as what is going on here. The OP is the same person who was whining how bad Spyderco's QC was, and how every knives he got had problems. Now all of a sudden it is so perfect, not because Spyderco up the QC overnight over his complaint but via good vendor service who bothered to pick out a perfect one from pile of stock.....

My age and apparent senility has allowed me the latitude of calling anyone 40 and under "kids" IMO. :)

BTW, I've posted in many su-forums on this forum and never encoutered the nit-picking and generally hostile attitudes that I've encountered here. Complain about a problem "shut up I have 100 perfect models" post happiness about finally geting a great example of a model and "shut up you're not making sense and generally a crybaby."

I'm done in this sub-forum. See ya. ;)

I know exactly who the OP is as I read the whole thread that he made, then closed.

I guess that if someone has issues with QC then posts about it they shouldn't post a thread to the contrary when they have a better experience. Why are you so worried about his dealings with spyderco anyway? :jerk it:

Congrats! My military had several flaws when it came (lockbar engagement was not far enough, blade not centered). However, after some adjustment, it is now perfect as well.

Sounds like you compare orange to apple all your life. In this case dealer QC vs. Spyderco QC.. still don't get it?? Hilarious...:D

cziv, I'm glad you got a good one. It really can be frustrating to go through with a purchase and have it go bad.

Enjoy your knife. Joe

All bickering and nonsense aside, enjoy your new knife. Military is one of Spyderco's best, and IMO the BEST outdoor folder they make.

cziv,
I am glad to hear that you received the knife, which satisfy you. I hope this is only beginning. Enjoy. BTW, now you need to get para2 and Caly3.5, kid :D:)
(My age allows me the latitude of calling anyone 55 and under "kids" :):D)

Got me bh49..lol...:), but I'd give a tidy sum of cash to be 55 again. I really want a Para 2 but I have so many folders that a crusty old fart like me lets them gather too much dust. I have too many now by far but wanted the Millie to fill a Spyderco void in my knife carry case.

I went to my Daddy's house the other day (he's 90), he asked me for a knife to open a belated Christmas gift in plastic packaging. I forget what I pulled out and cracked open - probably my BM 710 or an XM-18 flipper (my main EDC's) and he was startled & started cussing like they were some evil switchblades "Holy %**$#@*%$@@" what do you have a knife like that for?"

I told him "cuz that's what I like." ;) I carried the new Military yesterday and today so far, but we'll see, probably put it up later. I have two others slated for EDC until Sunday when I rotate them out for 2 different ones, which'll include the new Military.

Thats one of my complaints as well cziv, so many Spydercos, so few pockets! LOL! ;)

I'm glad you got a military you are happy with. The older you get the more leeway you get to be a grouch :D.

Don't leave the Spyderco subforum because a few folks have chips on their shoulder's. IMO it's the greatest knife co. on earth and some great knife lovers frequent here.

Glad you got one you're happy with.
