  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Spyderco Quality

The only thing consistent “problem” with my Spydies is the sharp edges on the scales/handles. I will say my Tuff has better, slightly chamfered edges on its handle.
It’s an easy fix but I’ll wait till I commit to making one an EDC before I start breaking these edges.

the silver lining is the sharp blade edges out of the box!

My most recent Spydercos are an M390 Manix 2, S110V Manix 2, and Gayle Bradley 2. All three have great F&F. The M390 Manix 2 is just a hair off center, but other than that is nearly flawless. These are high quality production knives with premium steels all sub-$200. Every Spyderco I've bought has been high quality - even the Byrd Cara Cara 2s I've bought are high quality. Outside of a few random purchases, most of the modern folders I buy are from Spyderco.

I'm a Spyderco-"noob"; just 6 of them.
5 are really good; but my Delica needed some tinkering...
The Spydie-hole was pretty rough; but a bullet case de-burring tool cleaned it up. It also had a Back-lock spring that felt like a rear spring from a 3/4 ton pickup. That got some tweaking, and the knife is now EDC ready.
