That is the WORST attempt at faking a Spyderco I've ever seen!!! They didn't even use a hole in the blade. Blatant fake. Is it even claimed to be a Spyderco? There's a spider on it but it's not even an attempt at the Spyderco "bug". So I guess it wouldn't be such a blatant fake Spyderco if no one is actually stating it is one...and it is just being assumed?

Just got confirmation from Spyderco's customer service. Totally fake!! Glad I didn't buy it!!

Eloquently said and 100% accurate. Shocking effort.

I'd pay well over about $.25 for it.

It's the super rare prototype of a knife that Spyderco designed around 1967. It was never put into production, as fans that were asked to review the prototype didn't like the fact that it didn't have a Spyder opening hole.

There were around 12 prototypes made; yours looks like it was toward the end of the batch. It should be worth well over $100,000.

Wikipedia said so.

The most offensive part is the lack of effort. :D Why, I remember when knife counterfeiters put a little effort into it. Took some pride in their job!

Yeah, this one is pretty bad... I saw some fake benchmades that really did look good once...

Hello spydercobenchmadekai. I happen to have one of these knives and found your post interesting. I can't really tell if you are kidding or you have happened to find something that I can't find. Where did you find your information in Wickpedia? I have looked and found nothing....
