Their is a ton of scammers on here and the only way to avoid it is to have a gold membership
 
Still interested in the lot if you can figure out a way to get me a message (I'm not paying the $30, I make 1-2 purchases a year on here). This is the first time a seller hasn't been able to DM me, not sure why.

The forums has changed up the messaging system on here due to scammers, as you recently experienced. You can pick up a Basic membership for $10 and it allows you to Direct Message others and it's safe.
