I have a couple of spyderco knives in need of factory attention, but I don't know if the factory can help. Any Spdy people here?
I have a spyderwrench that I quickly handed over when a friend asked if he could borrow a blade while we were working on his truck. A couple minutes later I heard OOOPS... he handed me back my spyderwrench with about 1" broken off the blade.
I also have an old police model with the aluminum handles that has about 1" off the tip due to defending myself when they decided to slam the door. Good for both of us, but bad for my knife. All damage was due to operator error, but I really wish I could pay to have new blades put on each one.
Also, I have an old SE Tuffram Civilian which could use a new blade due to (you guessed it) broken tip, about 1/16", not much, but would like full blade. I know that this model and the police model are still in production. Would it be possible to replace with a new production blade if old style blades aren't available???
Thanks in advance for any advice!
P.S. Already called spyderco rep and they told me to mail the knives in individaully with return postage and they would take a look. I just don't want to waste everybody's time (and my postage)(and wait a few weeks for respone)
