Spyderco Resilience Review

I occasionally EDC my Resilience, I have no problems with mine. It serves me very well with everything I do. I would highly recommend this knife.

Reprofiled one, free handed:

The last part (2-3mm) nearing the tang wasn't fully sharpened on this side. Took few minutes with diamond file followed by full sharpening on DMT C, F and EF + balance strop and now hair splitting!

I got one a couple of years ago when they came out. One day I clipped it to the top of my winter boot, and I forgot about it. That evening or the next morning I flipped it open and it had tiny rust specks across the blade, from the humid saltiness of the boot. I cleaned it off, oiled it, and no prob since. Actually I forgot it in my car all winter and it was fine. It also went through the washer and dryer (not for long though with all that clanging) and it came out in good condition. It has sat oiled in a Maxpedition hip bag for the last year or so. She's a big bladed seemingly solid low cost folder. The big blade is easy to open and moves like butter.

Does anyone use their Resilience for anything besides food prep? Because I got one gifted to me and I looked up a few reviews on it to get a little more info, and all of them use it as a good prep knife. Which I have no use for. And it is too big for edc legally and for my personal taste

I have a Tenacious that I enjoy; it got modded a while ago. I may have to get a Resilience to mod as well...;):D

Awesome review. I think this may be the answer to my camping/cheap knife question. The pictures helped a lot man. Thanks!
