I was watching some reviews on YouTube and somebody posted in a comment that Spyderco is going to release a larger Tenacious. He said it was going to be called the "Resilience" I love my Tenacious but I would like a bigger knife for my EDC and at the price point of the Tenacious i'm not afraid to beat on it a little instead of my more pricey knives. But can anybody confirm or deny this rumor?

I've heard that too, and would not be surprised if it happens given that they recently came out with a smaller version the "persistance".

A long time ago i heard that too that there was a smaller and bigger version of the Tenacious coming out. The smaller was named Persistence and as we all know its out now. The big one is to be called resilience and is yet to be released. Dont know the measurements on it though.

Someone asked sal about that a while ago on spy.com i think. Never got a answer. I hope so. Those models, ten/per, are great inexpensive edc that you don't my beating up. You can just get a new one...:p

sal said so here on bladeforums. i dont remember the thread but it could probably be dug up.

Thank you and i'm really hoping that Spyderco will come out with it soon. Maybe with VG-10 too :D

Considering the series is being made in China, I doubt very much you will see VG-10. I would totally buy each knife if it was S30V made in Golden.

does some one have a picture of the Resilience, Persistence and Tenacious together?

AFAIK the Resilience hasn't shipped. I have both the Persistence and the Tenacious and will be happy to post a group photo when mine arrives.

Yeah, but the Sage's blades are made in Golden and sent to Taiwan and assembled there.

Is this statement correct? I was under the impression that the blade was ground in Taiwan from bar stock shipped from here. However they are doing it, the Sage is a darn fine knife...probably my favorite pattern at the moment.

To stay sort of on topic...I'd love to see the three Chinese Spyderco's all lined up together Hammer! Thanks

I am under the impression the blades are shipped from the US to Taiwan. Not sure if they receive an edge touchup in Taiwan or if they are 100% ground there but I was under the impression a finished (for the most part) blade is manufactured in the US and shipped over.

FWIW

Just checked KC and the Resilience is now listed as "in stock". Haven't gotten a shipping notification yet from Jeff @ CS but a check of my account shows "payment received" and he's never charged me before until my order shipped so I'm going to venture an educated guess that orders for these should be heading out the door today. WooHoo!

Just got my shipping confirmation!!!

Thanks Jeff!!!
