So I love Spyderco's H1 steel, and the Caspian2 has been a perfect whitewater knife for me, so logically I'm wondering how the Rock Salt would do for trading off with my Fallkniven S1 for mountain carry.

I can't seem to find any reviews or information about the Rock Salt (like before I bought my Caspian2, I've made a review for it here, but was wondering if anyone here knew anything about, or had experience with the Rock Salt.

Any help is appreciated!

There is one in my local knife shop. I thought it would be much much heavier. Its light...too light really to be a chopper. Its got a nice shape but could use more meat to it.

Sheath seems cheap. Im intrigued with the steel but as for a camp chopper I think I will stick to Busse's.

If the stock they uses was considerably thicker it would be an awesome camp knife. I would get custom kydex for the sheath though.

I love my Tasman Salt and H1 steel, and while I like the design of the Rock Salt, I do not like the price nor the fact that it is hollow-ground for a chopping knife.
