Spyderco Southard Black - Carried a little bit but absolutely no heavy use. Perfect centering and lightning fast deployment. I can see no real marks or imperfections on it; there looks like a mark on one of the pictures in the link, but it is a smear, I can repost that one or other pictures if you like. $OLD.

Spyderco Rubicon - Carried a literal handful of times and has seen a modicum of use. Good deployment, perfect centering, and no marks on it as I can tell. SOLD

I can get better pictures if necessary, taken in poor lighting and mediocre camera phone.

Thanks for looking.

So though I was first to try to contact but cannot PM or email the seller do I loose out?

Edit: email ability for me to contact you now is an option where it was not at first so an email has been sent to arrange purchase.

Wait what? You knew I wanted the knife.

I posted first. I then posted up that I did find a way to email you and did. You didnt post here & acknowledge me, you didnt respond to my email. Actually I did the work and due diligence and you hung me out to dry. You could have posted publicly - like I did - that you were having a hard time contacting me and we could have squared it away. But nothing and the time stamps show the tiny amount of time that past before you decided to sell to someone else when it was clear I wanted it.

So the simple fact is no due diligence was taken on your end, i did the work & was clear on the interst, you went for the faster easier sale. Cool. Congrats to the guy that got it but man you hung me out clearly. Any of those other guys would have bought later today or tomorrow after you really gave ample time and effort to my first post of interest, email and 2 follow up post. :(

Usually the first person to post an "I'll take it " gets the knife. By saying "email sent" you are not clearly saying you want the knife, just showing you may be interested. No need to get upset, now you know how the exchange works...

91wm6 -

3 posts, an email - and the effort to keep trying to contact him for an hour until suddenly - literally - his email contact appeared made it pretty crystal clear I wanted it I'd say. But ok, 4 contact efforts - 3 public - I guess is not as crystal clear as the 3 words "I'll take it". Just not sure what the harm was to the OP to acknowledge me publicly & try to give me the benefit of the doubt since there is clearly some oddness in this forum setup that does not allow me to PM or him to email me and that did not show his email until later (unless he changed his settingss suddenly which I suspect).

I'll get over it. It's just a knife. But I spent over an hour posting, trying to find contact methods, visiting his profile, finally getting email access, checking my email over & over blah blah and my first acknowledgment as even existing is.... I tried it's sold.

The seller sells to whoever he wants to. You did not say I WILL TAKE IT so you have no argument.

People usually sell knives because they need money, whoever offers payment first and quickest gets the knife.

There will be others..........................

Yupp. And it's his knife, he's free to sell it to who he pleases. I always wondered why people put up disclaimers. I now understand

I tried to contact the seller to buy it guys... I think many of you are just glossing over that fact. If I would have been able to contact him instantly via PM - like apparently some of you can - it would have been mine as I would have asked for payment details. But I could not contact him so I had to do it publicly and that was my effort to be first in line the only way I could. He claims to try to have contacted me but couldn't. So clearly this forums setup is jacked up as I got beat out ONLY because someone had the ability to access him instantly despite me being the first responder - though I would think since he was online when I posted up in his thread he knew I was here trying. So, this forums systems are questionable. And so me saying "I'll take it" - which is essentially what I said and my intentions which is clear publicly - would not have mattered since I could not initially contact him nor him me he claimed.

Anyway, if people are agreeing that a seller can & will sell to whomever they want then the "I'll take it" really means nothing if you think it through. So it kind of seems like in the end a system with no integrity & just a wild west approach. When I sell online on forums I dont roll like this.

To sum all this up. Essentially you didn't say you'd take it. You said you sent him a message or tried to. People back out...A lot. And first you claim it, then figure out the details afterwards. (Or that's why some people say I'll take it PENDING pm or email or question. Chalk it up to a learning experience man.

Wow didn't realize all this back and forth occurred. I feel for BlackTanto but it is just a knife and btw, I learned this exact lesson when I first joined as well, and then I went back and studied the exchange rules. First to post those three magic words gets it. In this instance, I prevailed. Not to worry, this is a great forum and people are here to help. One day I'm sure you will win over someone else. Cheers
