This model is in recognition of knifemaker Michael Walker’s contribution to the knife industry with his creation of the LinerLock® and ball bearing detent method of locking open a folding knife. While the knife is made in Taiwan, the flat-ground blade is produced with USA made CPM-S30V. It is paired with a twill-woven carbon fiber handle and LinerLock. Categorized as a mid-sized folder, the blade is flat-ground and PlainEdged. Designed for comfort and in-the-hand-ergonomics, the carbon fiber handle is vibrant with multi-colored fibers bonded together when manufacturing the carbon fiber. 3.) Spyderco Tan Manix 2 CPM-M4, Model #C101GTNM4P2
***SPF***
The Manix 2 is one of the most popular in the Spyderco line-up since it was first released in 2010. This exclusive knife is a new Manix 2 with a Tan G-10 Handle and CPM-M4 Blade.
The Blade is Crucible CPM-M4 steel and is flat-ground with aggressive thumb serrations (jimping) and an oversized 14mm Spyderco Round Hole. Originally M4 made its name s a tool steel with high resistance to impact. Crucible's version incorporates their CPM-powdered metal manufacturing process with M4 creating a superfine, consistent steel-grain structure heightening its' already impressive impact resistance even more.
Locking the blade open is an ambidextrous and exceptionally strong lock called the Ball Bearing Lock which operates via a free-floating bearing encased in a high-tech polymer cage. It's spherical shape allows the lock to adjust across a large surface for solid and consistent lockup.
Inside the Tan G-10 Handle Scales are skeletonized dual steel liners increasing rigidity and strength without adding unneeded weight. The liners are scalloped, extending slightly beyond the handle scales creating textured jimping around a large portion of the handle's perimeter. A four-way pocket clip allows for left or right hand tip-up/tip-down carry.
Blade length is 3-3/8 inches for an overall length of 8 inches. This knife comes in the original box. This knife will make an excellent addition to your collection.
