The Spyderedge has about a 25% larger cutting edge than the plain edge of the same size, according to Spyderco. It may be better at cutting line or wire if you are diving and happen to get hooked or tangled. I'd like to hear from divers who have knowledge about this. My biggest fear when diving isn't sharks, morays, etc. it is getting hooked by a fishing boat trolling nearby.Everyone says that H1 serrated stays sharp a long time. You can't really go wrong with Spyderedge anyways.
