Spyderco Shaman out of stock

I’ve Been really wanting a Shaman, but they are out of stock everywhere. Are they being discontinued?
 
I made a thread about this a week or two ago.

I suspect they're switching to a different steel? Not sure. Would appreciate a real answer, I've been looking for a plain edge Shaman for weeks now.
 
Spyderco is backed up because of the demand, and covid, and who knows what else. They only have so much capacity. Give them some time and be patient. The Shaman is very popular (I have 3! Love them) and there will be more. I don't think they are switching steels on it, but they are on the pm2 and para 3. Maybe the Shaman will be switched to s45vn too?

I'm still waiting on a bento box m390 shaman... Lol
 
Scandanavian Knives and Puukko still has them in stock (cant list dealers here sorry just google it, sounds like lamb-knee-ya).

Actually they have the Z wear ones in stock too lol. I dont know why people are paying scalpers 300+ for these. I've ordered from them before, they're quick for overseas and reliable.

Before the new year price increases were announced which may have added to the shortage on top of covid/manufacturing combinations.
 
Given that the price of S30V Shaman is pretty close to sprint runs with Cru-wear or Z-wear and micarta scales that many people scarify their jobs and families ;) to try to snatch one AND Spyderco is making a production Cru-wear / micarta PM2, it makes more sense to just ditch the production S30V Shaman and make a production Cru-wear or K390 Shaman.
 
Glade BQ just dropped lol got the email and text like 20m after the fact...went OOS super quick.

I think that's a wrap on this sprint. Grew some extra pimples because of this, definitely not worth my time, sorry to say.

KC has them on pre-order so I'm assuming they're close...or at least in the pipeline. While I've only heard about the switch to S45VN on the Para 3/PM2, Would be nice if the Shaman was included also.
 
Now all the PM2's are gone.

I'm ready to pop on a Shaman and the wife is okay with it, and I can't find one. By the time they come back out, the wifey will be pissed if I do. Lol
 
Go to Buttlery Choppe now, they have exclusive in stock

Edit: died. Took 8m to go OOS, hope you guys got to snag one

The knife store that is named after Santa Claus has 3 dlc S30v shamans in their Florence, AL store. I know because I bought one of them (there were 4 haha!) says out of stock online, but call the Florence store and you may be able to get one shipped...
