Spyderco Slice-Off

Where does the Native sit in the rankings? It seems to be a good compromise in just about every area. How does it compare with the calypso?
I traded mine away last week, but my S30V Native was much thicker both at the start of the edge bevel, and 1/4" behind the edge than the Calypso. Something like 1/3 thicker if memory serves, but that's just an impression. I'm not really sure. I measured it out of curiosity, thinking the hollow grind would be thinner than it was. A stouter knife than I had realized, with good ergos, and control, and no doubt has great penetration due to its grind, but a slicing demon it probably isn't.
Probably not bad at all compared to other knives in the lineup, but the Calypso is ground thinner than most other knives...
Wish I had written down the specifics, or compared it to the Paramilitary while it was in hand.

I humbly submit my rankings in this order:
1. Calypso Jr
2. Para
3. Military

Pretty much the same here. Although the Paramilitary and Millie are so close as to be a dead heat.

I would like to throw a couple more into the mix:

Lum Chinese
Salsa

Both cut great too.

SAK. Sorry, but the tiny little SAK classic is great for tiny jobs

You are talking to a SOSAK member here. ;) You can shoot me if I ever don't have a SAK on me. I EDC a Victorinox knife daily. Hell, I sleep with the Soldier under my pillow and have dreams of slicing perfection! :D (EDC right now is the Soldier or Camper, depending on mood. Ordering a Farmer soon which might displace them. We shall see...)

Jsun,
I have owned a Lum Chinese, and while I loved the knife, it wasn't ergonomic enough for EDC carry. :) The Salsa just doesn't appeal to me for some reason..?

By all means though, people can throw them into the discussion, along with the Dragonfly just for the hell of it. It would be fun.
