Recently acquired a UKPK Orange Rescue, to join my Orange Urban Wharncliffe, FG UKPK Droppoint, Terzuoula Slip-it, Byrd Wings Slip-it, and my old EDC DKPK.

These 6 formed my EDC Rotation for a month, and I loved every minute of it.

Drop-point UKPK was the sharpest and easiest to sharpen.

Wharncliffe was the most NKP friendly.

Wings was probably the handiest with the two blades, and performed alot of food-prep on the days I carried it, and I adore the design (it sometimes partnered up with a black pearl micro-dyad).

On a couple of workdays the Rescue cut the snot out of a bunch of bailing twine and feed-sacks it performed flawlessly.

For dress up/unobtrusive carry times it was the Bob-T or the DKPK. DKPK probably taking the lead just a touch. The Bob-T was great after I dremeled the lanyard holder thingy off.

I like the way Spyderco is going with its Slip-it program and should keep at it,

What is your favorite?

What could SPyderco do to keep the idea going forward?

One idea I had is change scale materials on the Byrd Wings...g-10 is ok...something akin to what they did with the Kopas would be kinda cool.

My favorite is the only one I own, the urban wharnie in orange! Wait, I also have the grasshopper, but the former is still my favorite. I think that spyderco will keep the ball rolling due to the knife restrictions that folks are facing worldwide. That makes a pretty big market quickly. Even in places where locks are permitted, a slipjoint appears much more friendly-- think grandpa whittling wood.

I don't normally carry SlipIts as I prefer locking folders. That being said, as soon as the Bug and Honeybee were released I got one of each and was EDCing the Honeybee as my beater knife for small tasks, keeping my Caly3 or G10 Dragonfly for bigger jobs. I just bought two Grasshoppers and have replaced the Honeybee with one of them. It's a great small knife and a few passes on my Sharpmaker and it's plenty sharp for daily mundane tasks like opening mail, breaking down cardboard boxes (taped seams, not cutting the actual cardboard). It makes a great small EDC blade when I don't want to walk with the Caly3. I knew I'd love it so that's why I bought two of them.

Only one I've ever carried is the Bug. No real interest in carrying any of the larger ones. Locking folders are legal here, and everywhere I'd be interested in visiting, so there's no incentive to revert to a slipjoint. If I were to carry a larger one, it would be a customized version of the drop point UKPK.

I strongly prefer locked folders, but if I would be forced to carry slipit it will be Orange UKPK and Bob T.

I don't own a Terzuola but I like the looks of it (except that lanyard loop thing, never thought of that one before). I don't care much for the Wings and Dyad models, because the hump of the folded blade seems to make the grip a bit uncomfortable while using it.

I like the foliage green UKPK for light carry. Church, inlaw's, out for dinner, movies. Stuff like that.

Don't much care for slipits except for my Swiss Army Knife, but I was impressed with the Orange UKPK I handled at local store.

Yeah I forgot about my SAKs. I carry one or two of those around, usually a Midnite MiniChamp, Huntsman or my latest, the Cadet (not shown in pic). I need to take a new pic, this one is a couple years old now.

Green UKPK. Bought 1 when they 1st came out out a year or 2 back. Solid design and VERY sharp.

I can't bring myself to carry a slipit, but if I were in the market, those would be the two I'd buy. Very nice looking little knives, and the the UKPK's ergos are every bit as nice as the Caly 3's, IMO.

The only one I own is a Wings Slipit, which I like a lot (Oh, and a Bug, but that doesn't count.). The Bob T and the drop point UKPK look really interesting; I just haven't gotten around to getting them yet.

I'm not a big slipit fan, but I do have a Spyderco Terzuola, Bug, Honeybee and Grasshopper. My favorite is the Grasshopper (nice useable size).

I don't have one. yet. But I'd probably have to go with the Wharnie slip it. Wharncliffe blades are amazing in small sizes. I can't think of anything it would do worse, except for some specific food prep issues. But food prep with a less than 3" blade is already far from optimal, I could definitely get by.

I love my Spyderco Urban foliage green... It prooves good things come in small packages. I am big fan of leaf shaped blades. I'll get next week my UKPK orange with leafshaped S30V golden... I am already drooling over it, even I don't yet have it...

The only slipits I have are the bugs. The Honeybee was nice but the grasshopper is a more useful size. Prices are great. Real value to $ ratio.

I'd like to see a grasshopper sized clones of the police and the harpy :D
