PP funds have been sent. thanks, Don

Wait, I sent him a payment too. I'm a bit confused as to who bought this because I PM'd him early this morning saying I'd take it and asking for his PP info

Not sure who got the knife, but my funds have been refunded via PP.
BRUENNIS: please note. You have been a member for two years and you know the general "rules."
The first "I'll take it" is deemed to get the knife, and payment is to follow immediately.
I did all of this, and yet you have sold the knife to someone else.
WHY? PLEASE EXPLAIN or I will get the Mod involved.
thanx, don aka sonnydaze

I apologize for not posting "I'll take it" right here in the thread, I am new to bladeforums so I sent that in a message to the poster directly

I believe people have the right to sell to anyone they choose. The whole "I'll take it" is a good guideline but you can't force someone to sell to anyone, at the end of the day it's OP's choice.

Well I'm pretty sure the problem comes from me saying "I'll take it" in a private message instead of right here in the thread. I messaged OP about 2 hours after the listing went up asking for payment info. payment couldn't have followed immediately because he was asleep. I still paid less than half an hour after I received a message back this morning with the info, which seems prompt enough IMO. This is my first transaction here so I'm sorry for causing any undue stress to anyone.

Hi, xgunnyx...thanx for your note. Thanx for your service, and for your explanation. I accept that the knife is your's.
However, I hope that the seller will learn something here.

Austofferson...unless you are a mod... this is NONE of your business, and the mod may slap your hands for posting here.

K, I'm not worried about it. Y'all people take this shit way too seriously, life or death bold letters about saving a few bucks on a knife. Don't care if it's "none of my business", just pointing out a simple fact that you need to unclench your butthole and chill out acting like its some kind of legal issue.

Sonnydaze. I apologize but as pointed out I can sell to whom I choose. In addition, xgunnyx was first "I'll take it"(via personal message) and first to pay.

Bruennis, this is all true and I respect that. But you sent me your PP email as soon as I requested it for payment. I can only assume that you did this prior to realizing that xgunnyx had already posted to take it.
No harm done.
I am disappointed, but there will always be others for sale.
Have a good day, sir.

Bottom line is it's the seller's choice who to sell to.

I will say though it's not applicable here that if the seller chooses to make specific terms in the sale such as "first I'll take it here" they should stick to that.

I think we're good here. I agree that the seller has the right to sell to the person of his choice. In this case, the process became a bit discombobulated.... :)
Cheers to all... have a good day.

As a postscript to this situation...
I did send the seller immediate PP funds when he sent me his PP email. He did refund my money quickly and I have no complaint about that aspect.
At this point, PP tells me that the refund is still "Pending" and may take several more days to resolve.
This should/could have been avoided pretty easily.
