Spyderco Smock

Agree about the choil -- that's why my finger wasn't in it :) I don't think the books are even open for an SK-23 until Kevin catches up, but I'd like one too.
 
Just got mine in, knife is a super interesting/cool design. Definitely looking into someone who offers scales and would do a lanyard delete, because the tube is extra crap I dont need. Still needs break in, but I am definitely a fan.

I wish I would have jumped on that sooner. I was not initially interested in this one, at first. However, I really am drawn to the design and action. I am on the hunt, so hopefully they are going to be available again soon.

Sounds like they should be back in a month or two. Honestly... If you have even the slightest interest in the design and are ok with the size, I’d definitely snag one when they come back around.

I was expecting a lot and I was still impressed with it. The fit and finish is really, really good. You can tell a lot of work went into each knife. I still don’t understand how the action is as smooth as it is. The little flipper doesn’t provide much leverage so it kind of catches you off guard with the way the blade flies out. Spyderco/Smock voodoo magic I guess. If we don’t see the button compression lock on more knives going forward, I will be really disappointed. It’s something I never knew I wanted, but now gotta have. It’s a game changer for fidgeting, lol. I don’t typically like carbon fiber/g10, but with the weight of the knife, it felt quite nice.

I kind of regret selling it already. I just can’t see myself using it on a regular basis, and if I don’t use it... Off she goes. I just wish the blade would have been .25” - .5” shorter. I might have to look into an SK23....

Yeah, I think that is my plan. Unless I can snag one on the secondary market. I am just really happy they took their time and made this one a very nice, solid, knife.
 
I’ve been eyeballing the Smock for months...but now the Shaman is tempting me...decisions decisions!
 
I just got my shipping notice from BHQ tonight. Not sure if this means all dealers are getting their second batch but I thought I would share.
 
Not sure if all dealers are getting them in but I found a dealer (not a sponser) who is supposed to have them today. I was browsing last night and there site said est arrival 4/10. I called them up today and the guy said just waiting on the ups truck. The site seems legit so I placed an order.

Now the waiting which should hopefully only be two days begins.
