Up for sale today is a Sypderco Southard with aftermarket carbon fiber scale and lockbar stabilizer. I purchased it from its first owner, who had the scale made by Gator Scales (if I recall correctly). The fit and finish on the scale is tremendous; I've have other scales for Southard's before that weren't nearly of the same quality. This is pretty much as perfect as they come. The scale is thinner than the factory one so that the weird asymmetrical thickness of the handles is no longer. The lockbar stabilizer is also carbon fiber, and its fitment is perfect. Unfortunately I do not have the original scale/lockbar stabilizer.
The knife has been very lightly used by me and carried. It has been touched up on my Wicked Edge, and the blade shows no cosmetic imperfections. There is one small scuff on the top of Ti side handle, but it's nearly imperceptible. The clip has been acid stonewashed to better match the darker lock side. Centering is dead center, the lockup is solid as can be, the flipping action is a little bit smoother and quicker than my last Southard. Original box included.
