Spyderco Southard "Insane Flipper"

Well, I picked up a Southard from another forum user last week and I have to say that I really like it. This was an example of a knife that didn't excite me at all until I got it in my hands. It is very well executed considering that it is Spyderco's first flipper. I have carried this knife for a few days, and I don't find the thickness to be an issue for me. The only thing that I don't like about the knife is the pointy pocket clip. I might get a replacement clip from Spyderco (so I can keep the knife original) and then grind one of them down to re-profile the end of the clip.

Recently Picked up a Southard from another member on here and I read about the pocket clip before hand. When I received it I thought, oh its not really that bad. Today I was getting out of my buddy's car and accidentally brushed by the side of it. The pocket clip won that battle. I'm now paying to get him a touch up paint job. Damn the clip.

Sorry to hear about your luck. My wife is ticked because of all the scratches I put on the steering wheel in her car with my pocket clips, so I make especially sure not to wear the Southard when driving it. That clip is brutal, but other than that I love the knife.

Actually thanks for that. Just one the bidding on this awesome clip for the Southard (I was the first and only bidder apparently). It was fate..... And from Blades4sell whom I've got the others for Yojimbo and Paramilitary 2 and their f&f is awesome. The other ones I've got for the Southard... Not so much.
