I recently got a NIB Spyderco Southfork on a trade. I am very impressed with this knife right out of the box. My goal it to take this knifes cutting performance to "the next level". I sharpen with an edge pro apex and I have Shapton glass stones out to 16k. I am asking for sharpening recommendations before I "dive in" specifically I would greatly appreciate recommendations on angle and final grit. Also if anyone feels that there is a piece of gear that i don't have that will step up the end result significantly don't be afraid to shout it out.

Thanks in advance for your time and thoughts

With 9% vanadium in the S90V steel I would recommend a very coarse diamond plate to start things out. Work your way to the SG500 and stop. This steel likes a coarse edge and the SG500 makes a nice finishing point.
