Up for sale is my used Spyderco Caly 3 sprint run in Aogami Super Blue. Asking $130 please note the condition carefully. Please use pms or post here.
I received this knife in trade with blue RIT dye on the handle. I took it apart and used dye remover but it left an unsightly purple patch around the pivot screw. I ended up sanding the purple colored G10 down with the intention of smoothing out the entire handle. I was hoping for a smooth micarta like texture, but I got disinterested and stopped. It feels fine now but it's not uniform, a smooth patch aorund the pivot on one side only (no more purple.)
The blade has been sharpened by the last owner, not missing a lot from the edge but the bevel sort of fades into the rest of the knife which is not what it looks like new. I have only touched the knife up at 40 degrees on a sharpmaker.
There has been rust polished off several times which has basically removed all the color from the spyderco mark, though it's still visible. There is still rust and there are may scratches, mostly horizontal from cleaning.
The handle is actually in pretty good shape as far as scratches and dings, there are very few marks.
