Besides the SS Cricket, a surprise knife will be included. It also is an integral lock and has Titanium sides. I won't tell you what it is, though it's NOT a Ti salsa.

The goal is to evaluate this second knife as well, how it cuts, etc. But not tell anyone the brand. You will know of course when you receive the package.

I think it would be interesting to see how people reading will think of it not knowing but just reading the reviews. It will also provide a little contrast as it's similar to the cricket in some aspects, different in others.

It's likely someone will be able to guess along the way so it might not work out, but it might be fun.

I got em!

First impression: very thin! cool knife, much smoother than the old almite version, I dont' know how it compares to the Zytel. Wicked sharp as Spydies are -- it outperformed the mystery knife handily in cardboard cutting, and held even with a just-less-than razor sharp Seb.

Not sure I'd carry it with the clip, but it rides flat in the pocket, or even in your wallet.

Rock solid lockup, nice little framelock, obviously laser cut.

My only complaint -- with the thinness of the slabs and the screw placement, it has a sort of cheapness to it. I was expecting it to be built more like the SS endura, etc, but I guess that wouldn't be as functional.

Overall very slick, will be interesting to see what Frank Recupero will do to these!

Mystery Knife:

Neat handle, very grippy, slick looking, nice lines, etc. The blade is less impressive -- the thumb choil is nice, but the grind is so-so, and the sharpenss leaves something to be desired. it's shaped more like a tactical knife in a size that's all utility. as I said, it was easily eclipsed in cutting by the cricket. I also don't like the partial serrations on the blade, would like to see this in all PE.

The framelock is solid and looks good though -- maybe this handle with a nicer blade, there ya go!

Cool and thanks! :D

BTW, while the Spyderco is absolutely NIB, the mystery knife I've carried for a while so it's NOT NIB. So if it's a little dull that's my fault. Sorry.
