I am sure that all of you hard core Spyderco fans are well aware of Kenneth T. Delavigne's masterful work entitled "The Spyderco STory: The New Shape Of Sharp". That book was very instrumental in helping me learn about the Great Spyder Factory and all the great products that they have blessed us with.

I still to this day break out that book from time to time and I really enjoy going through the pages of it. However I have come to a point to where I am beginning to believe that it is just about time for another book about Spyderco, their products, the progression of the company and all of the interesting data that us fellow collectors would be intrigued with.

Actually I think it's either time for a sequel or a very comprehensive book about the company and it's history and a lot of detail about their great line of knives. Are you all satisfied with the Spyderco Story Book or do you all agree with me that it's time for a successor to it? Maybe it could even be a group project? Your input please?

Yes, without a doubt, it is time for a new, updated version of the Spyderco book! My second job is at the biggest bookstore in town, and the Spyderco book isn't even in our computer. I tried a hard-to-find search, and still nothing.

This tells me two things. First, the book is long out of print. Second, the people who have it AREN'T SELLING IT! It was just that good of a book.

Mr. Glesser, please see if you can convince the author to do a new version of the book. There have been a ton of new knives designed since it was written, so it will be a chore, but just think of the hours and hours, no YEARS of enjoyment we Spyderknuts will get from perusing it's pages :)

Seconded. Either reprinting the first and making a second, or combining the two would be great!

Paladin Press has it now.

I agree, time for an expanded, hardcover edition for my coffee table.

I have tried to get my hands on that book. Checked amazon and the local library...I've had no luck.

I would certainly enjoy seeing a new addition.

:)

While I agree that a new addition is needed, though the last addition had too many misprints for my taste, darn it..lets do it right for Odins sake.
Cheers,
Rob

I would be first in line for a new Spyderco book. As a hardcore bibliophile and Spyderco enthusiast, this would be a dream come true. I'm still trying to locate a first edition of the original book...

Great idea, JD!
