How do compare the lower jimping to the original jimping? It offers less grip right?

Not really. I've swapped back and forth a few times and don't notice any difference in use. The flush gears are a bit more comfortable when rummaging around for something in the pocket, the raised gears Imho look better..

I haven't really noticed any difference in the grip with the flush gears vs the raised gears.
