Out of these 3, which would you choose and why? Just trying to understand the main differences of these knives. Thanks

i dont have the chubby but i have the techno and the sage 2, and i dont really see a point in keeping the techno. i like the sage 2 way more. its a big larger and i like the design and blade shape more. the sage 2 is one of the best titanium framelocks out there for the price in my opinion.

I have had a Sage 2 and still own a Techno and a Chubby. To me, the Techno is the cream of the crop. I like them all but the fit and finish of the Techno surpass the others. I like the Chubby because of it's uniqueness. The Sage 2 is a great knife and so are the others. There is really no wrong answer.

Techno is a badass sturdy little workhorse. Amazing fit and finish as well - I have the S30V version.

I vote Techno.

The Sage is an excellent example of a gents folder but it's too traditional for me.

The Chubby is one of the polarizing models that's a love/hate proposition. For me I"m not a fan.

The Techno is a again polarizing but for me it's a love and it crosses between a a dressy gents folder and an EDC blade.

+1 what JeremiahWeaver09 said :D

Bought and sold the Techno on no less than 3 occasions. Its beautiful when closed, but something about the blade shape I just don't find aesthetically pleasing. Very interested in the Chubby, minus the little CF inserts on the handle. I think it will be in my pocket soon though.

Of those listed. The techno is the only one I missed and bought another after selling. It's just such an awesome BIG little knife. It's a great edc. Great blade shape for all tasks and for last ditch self defense. Great strong tip on it. The working finish on the titanium does well at hiding marks. It's also great for dress up too. Deep carry wire clip makes it almost disappear out of sight. Plus it doesn't take up much pocket room if you are in dress pants with limited pockets.
Definitely worth a try

What, no pics? Someone here must have all three. [emoji12]

Good thread mate. Out of the techno and sage I prefer the techno, build quality is on par but the techno makes me smile more. I really want to try the chubby but lack of funds is preventing that atm.

Thanks for the information, but feel free to suggest other knives you feel would fit in the category. Short, broad blade. And to keep it realistic for myself, let's make the budget $200

This is blasphemous but having tried all 3 I would pass on all 3 and get a mini grip with Ti Wilkins scales. This is one of the rare instances where I would choose a benchmade over Spyderco. None of the three mentioned excel at being an edc. Stress on excel. The Ti Wilkins mini grip would make for a solid and not novel edc.

I've owned all three but now only have the Chubby. I grew tired of the leaf shaped drop point of the Sage series. I also don't like the blade shape of the Techno. I think it needs a swedge and that would "correct" it in my eye.

Own both a techno and sage 2. Love them both, but to recommend one over the other is difficult. Depends on your other knives characteristics. I bought the sage 2 before the techno.

I've owned all three in the past. If I were to get just one again, I'd get the Sage 2. To me, it's the best all around knife. I like the blade shape, ergos & weight. I like the Techno quite a bit as well, but none I've owned ever opened as nicely as the Sage 2. The Chubby was ok, I didn't mind the unusual look. Good ergos, blade can be Spydie flicked hard & fast. I just didn't like the circular carbon fiber inserts in handle. I've seen modded ones with the carbon fiber removed, looked better to me that way.
