I just purchased theTemperance FB from a forum member. It is a beaut, a perfect cutting implement. It fits perfectly in my hand but I feel I have to baby this one.

Usually, when I buy a knife as soon I get it home I baton it or just start cutting stuff up. But this one is so pristine and though the blade is 4mm, I can't imagine batoning this one through a 4" log.

Anyone use the hell out of their Temperance?

Thanks

Well, I'm not sure if batoning is the best idea. Full flat grind doesent take batoning as good as saber grind. This blade is perfect for cutting and slicing.

Use it just don't abuse it, they are a great knife !!!!

If you do a search Cliff Stamp tested one and he battoned with it just fine but they are only a partial tang so I stick more to cutting stuff !!!!

I definitely use mine. I wouldn't say I baby it but I don't abuse it either. Like some of the other folks here, I don't believe in safe queens. If I own it it's gonna get used.

A safe queen, orignates from gun culture lingo which refers to a gun that is in pristine shape because it only stays in the safe(gunsafe).

It has been used here for knifes that are never used and always babied.

The advice seems pretty consistent. I will use it but no abuse it.

Too bad, I will have to buy another knife. Damn!
