Too bad it has the damn bat man pocket clip

.
Amen! I wish Kershaw wou just get rid of the 'look at me, I'm carrying a big old tactical knife' pocket clips, or at least provide some sort of 'clip conversion kit' for people who don't want to look like they just walked out of a Star Trek convention!
Problems with storm II:
-Weird Blade design, tenacious has much better design for practicality
-Who needs grip tape on a knife?
-Clip is fine with me, but overall design looks like a knife you'd find for $5 at a gunshow
I'm surprised you didn't mention the bead-blast finish on the blade! That's what really gets me, a bead-blast finish applied to 13C26, a steel not known for its exceptional corrosion resistance! I'm just happy they've upgraded to a steel that is supposed to be better in that regard.
I disagree with all of you for the bucks spent the Kershaw Lahar, in VG10, superb fit and finish and a big wide blade. Although the Tenacious would run a close second! keepem sharp
I completely agree! The Lahar is an INCREDIBLE value, probably THE best value to come along since the Wally World Native, which was, in my opinion, the best value we'll probably ever see!
The Lahar has a beautiful,
satin finished, VG-10 blade, G-10 scales, a very strong lockup, a
normal, blackened, non-assuming, pocket clip, and was made in Japan. You definately cannot go wrong there!
Just purchased a Tenacious. What can I say, just a very well made knife. I have Striders, and Emersons, Kershaws and Benchmade's. But I tell you what, for the money, it just can not be beat.
I have to say I completely agree! I had held off on getting a Tenacious for a long time due solely to where it was manufactured, but I finally gave in. In a previous thread, I even suggested that the OP get a Kershaw Skyline over the Tenacious, due to its similar price and where it was manufactured, but after carrying and using both knives, I've turned into a huge fan of the Tenacious!
Unlike the Skyline, I don't have any rust problems with the Tenacious' satin finished blade, and the Tenacious has a design that just 'begs' to be used and used hard! I am in complete agreement that a better folding knife value than the Spyderco Tenacious, for around a street price of $35, cannot be found, though I still maintain that a better folding knife value than the Kershaw Lahar, for a street price of around $65, cannot be found as well!
