Hi all,
I know this has been done a lot, but I just need to talk about this knife. I've only had it 3 days and 2 of those I had to work so I only really got to play with it, opening it, closing it, turning it over and over admiring it, and just generally being in awe of it. Today, however, I actually used it all day.
First of all, this knife is so incredibly sweet! I love it. I have never had a knife that feels this awesome in my hand. I love the handle material. Doesn't slip, doesn't bit into my palm.
Second, the blade. I don't know anything really about steels, but this one feels and looks fantastic. Up until this knife, the "best" steel I had in a knife was ATS-34 (My BM Ascent). The Tenacious while overall heavier than my Ascent, seems to be smoother.
I actually like the liner lock, but then I've never had any problems with any other liner locks.
So on to what I did with it today:
I make paracord stuff. Leashes, fobs, lanyards, handle wraps, watch bands, bracelets, etc. Today I made 4 leashes (6 and 8 strands), 3 fobs, and 2 bracelets. When I make this stuff, I like to use a really sharp knife to cut the cord because it makes a cleaner cut. I cut a lot of cord today. My Tenacious performed beautifully. I know it's not a hard core test, but it certainly impressed me. When I finished all those cord projects, I used it with my hemp and leather cord to make a couple more little things and again it performed beautifully. I tried to shave some paper when i was done and it was still out of the box sharp.
For as big as it is in my hands (I'm a girl with fairly small hands) it was not at all awkward to use with my projects. I can't wait to try it out some more outside with some different types of projects.
Okay, this wasn't professional or anything, but DANG I'm impressed. Such and incredibly cool knife. I love it and highly recommend it.
