I like this knife,I really do.This was my first Spyderco that I have ever owned due to other models being too expensive for my budget.I have to say that for a 8Cr13MoV blade it was extremely sharp and it has reasonably good edge retention. It has survived 50 paper cuts and cardboard chopping ans for a sub $40 knife that is simply put in e letters WOW.The only down side is that the jimping. It will scarpe the hell out of my hand when I try to aquire something from that same pocket.I'm going to eventually switch the pocket clip to the other side.Other than the jimping being a little bit rough I love this knife.

I used mine for more than a year, and it was a great knife, everyíthing from wood carving to food making trough cardboard. And it performed really well.

Just got one in trade. Nice size, many uses. Feels like it should be up there with the more expensive knives.

Very good knife which can stand up to abuse well. I do have to sharpen it more often but that's to be expected. Definately a lot of knife for the money (like many Spyderco's).

Do a search. These things are very popular among those who own them.

I like mine because there's no stinking choil, just blade. If they made a 2/3 size one, I'd be all over it.

There is talk of such a model, I believe it's called "Persistence" and a large one called "Reliance". I could be botching the names though. :o

The Tenacious is a wonderful knife, no doubt about it.

I to wished they had one 2/3 rd's size.

I don't have one yet, but I've held one and also like the choil-less, ricasso-less design.

dont want to hijack the post- how come you dont like the choil?
just curious....
thanks

It's a waste because:

1. It takes away a significant percentage of cutting edge.
2. It's uncomfortable. I don't know what you guys do with your knives to love choils so much, but how can it possibly be comfortable? Holding the knife practically between the tip of your thumb and the middle part of the forefinger is comfortable and offers control? Not for me.

I love my Tenacious. It's a must have knife in the EDC arsenal.
Don't hesitate to spend $40 on this one.

Only had it a few weeks but I absolutely love this knife, it was sooo cheap.

Does anybody have a tenacious and a para-military? Whats the size difference, I quite like the blade shape of the para. Might get one in camo with a black blade.

Here you go. Perhaps this will help you out.

honestly, the tenacious is a great buy, but the ontario RAT 1 trumps it -and is usualy a little less on ebay. I prefer the AUS8 too.

Liveitloud many thanks. Loving the blade shape and larger handle on the para, ergos look alot better. Will definately be my next purchase.

That pic of the Tenacious next to a Para is the reason I will never buy a Para I have a Tenacious and it is great and the Para can`t be that much better for the price.Unless they make a Ti. and carbon fiber infi bladed Para.
