Spyderco... There can be only ONE!

For me it would have to be a Para 2, in one of the sprint steels. Those knives seem just right to me on so many levels. That said I'm currently enjoying my new Superblue Stretch a lot. Wish I could choose just one, but glad I don't have to.

one and only one its the one I have a s110v blade in a g10 handle

Did you cook that up yourself? Looks great. I've contemplated taking the S110V blade out of the FRN handles and into some steel lined G-10 ones. Not that there's anything inherently wrong with the FRN handles (I don't hard use it that bad) but the lined ones just intuitively seem like they'd offer another level of strength.

Sorry, rule of two. One is none an two is one. I can't have "just one". Just ask my ex's :D

I would keep my Lum Chinese folders.

I just wanted something different. And I hate the frn handles.

Only one? Hmmm.

I love my GB for its blade

I love my enduras and delica for everyday usability without breaking the bank

But without a doubt my Vallotton hits on all cylinders for me. I absolutely love the way this knife looks, seriously I wouldn't be able to do without it.

I've pretty much settled on the military as my only real edc/user, in conjunction with a medium SAK and classic.
All my needs are covered with that setup.
Of course that doesn't mean I don't buy new knives to test drive...

Awwwwww man.... So many good knives.... So few hands to use them all... Ha

I just don't know if I can only keep it down to one Spyderco to fulfill my Spydie itch.
Guess that's what happens when Sal and Eric just keep on cooking up winning designs and those collaborations with other custom knife makers.

Perhaps a PM 2 with m390 if I can dig one up. I've heard nothing but goodness with this steel in the spydie line up. Perhaps the GB as a back up if I can't find the PM2 I'm looking for. Or perhaps just a random purchase from left field. Ha.

Any favourite user steel recommendations since Spyderco just has a plethora to choose from and they are always pushing forward to new ones.

Again thanks for input

Personally, I'd get the paramilitary 2 just because I feel it's Spydercos pride and joy. Everyone gets it. And for a good reason.

But, I think The Starmate and Lionspy are phenomenal. My father actually owns them and I've held them once (he clearly has trust issues)

I still haven't found anything that bests the Stretch for overall ergonomics and blade shape. Dragonfly would be my second. Love the classic frn back locks...

easy answer, I don't want to have only one spyderco, but if I have to do it, I would choose my military

A PM2 would take care of all my cutting needs, and a sprint would probably be my choice.

But... if you can only have one, then maybe its worth it to get something that is easy on the eye too (i.e. not FRN or peel ply G10). GB is a great choice, maybe a fluted Ti Military. Caly 3.5 ZDP CF?

Slysz Bowie. Very smooth & refined and fairly thin & narrow. I thought Rubicon would be it for me with a 3" blade and flipper but it's rather thick, lockbar disengagement a little awkward and sharp edges on the backspacer. A Mini Southard (Ion) may top them all for me.

A Pacific Salt, fully serrated.
This folder is a cutting machine and it will never rust.

Going to my local-ish knife store to put the GB in hand and see if it "feels just right" as all knives should when in hand.... If it does, the GB wins, if not a sprint PM2 it is.

Thanks for the input guys.
Pics to follow decision.
