Spyderco Tuff... I really need one

Wow... so sorry for the confusion. For some reason I was thinking about the Lionspy, I apologize. I wish the Tuff was out already though.

I'm really looking forward to this one too...

The name Tuff looks like it will be an understatement with what 3V is capable of.

/drool

will the Tuff be a regular production model or do i need to hunt down a pre-order tout de suite?

Reg production. I think I remember hearing due out Auguest with the Szabo...

I think the cost of developing an entirely new model, esp one that's been in development as long as this one, is way too high for them to only do sprint quantities.

The link isn't working. Here it is.

I like that mayonnaise groove. Its like a blood groove, except its made for cutting deli sandwiches.

Jesus I hate when ppl talk about the "blood groove". A guy at a gun show last week tried to sell me a Frost Cutlery knife with an "awesome blood groove!"

I just preordered this and regret that I will be canceling it. I dont want to spend $260 on a Taiwanese knife.

I would buy it in a flash, but not with the blood groove.

The choil looks way bigger than it needs to be. :thumbdn:

Is it designed for someone with gorilla fingers?... :D

Seems like a solid design overall though.

Fit and finish on the Taiwanese maker is the best I've seen from Syderco...

^^^This, without a shadow of doubt. If you think Spyderco knives made in Taiwan are of poor quality then I think you need to try one. Anyway, all the parts are from the US, so it's only really assembled
and machined in Taiwan. I can't see how anyone could argue the point of poor quality from the Taichung factory.

Yeah, that's my only concern about it, too. The finger choil definitely appears to be too big as it sacrifices too much cutting edge. I suppose some people could use it with gloves but still...

I can't wait for this one to come out.Is this the first time Spyderco is using CPM-3V in a folder?

Any idea at all what quarter this is due?

Dealers are saying June but that may only be a guess. Perhaps it will be unveiled at Blade Show...
