Spyderco Tuff

Hello, does the frame lock steel insert keep the lock from over travel? I haven't viewed any reviews or photos that show the lock face. Thank you for any information.
 
Oh boy, that's got to be one of the ugliest knives I have ever laid eyes on. :barf: Thank God it's made to be a user because it is not a looker. I'm sure Tuff owners love them, but man that thing is hideous. What's with the groove in the blade?

It's called a fuller. Reduces weight without reducing functional strength.
