Well, a bit late to the party, but I thought I'd give a big thumbs  up for the UK Penknife.

Good ergonomic grip, nice blade shape, etc.

I figure it'll join my office wear rotation (Fallkniven U2 and Ritter Griptillian are current office use knives).

Question: As wear occurs, anyone experienced any blade "droopiness", i.e. the blade not staying in contact with the backspring when open?

Dittos on the UK. I haven't carried it long enough to experience any problems with notch wear. My pivot had a bad habit of working loose with use until I put some loc tight on it. I carry mine clipless in the bottom of my pocket. As good as this knife feels in the hand, it feels even better without the clip.

Loctite 242 seems to be the modern knife owner's friend.

The mechanism on these appears to be as stout as some "square hinged" slip joints I've handled, but with less area to wear.

I was just wonderin' if any of the year long carriers have noticed any wear. With the new steels, properly heat treated, this should be a neglegible concern, but being curious....
.

Been carrying mine every day for over a year, still walks and talks like new. It's the reason I never bought a Caly3.

I would think that notch wear would be a non-issue. I have some old Schrade Old Timers that have seen decades of use with little to no real wear problems. With better modern materials, the UKPK should last a long time.

Have one and I love it. One of the best EDC knives I've personally come across. I liked how they did the backspring, so that it "locks" in a little more than a traditional slipjoint.

I've had mine since July, carried it as EDC for the month I was in the UK, off and on since then, especially when I go into the city for a "dad's day off" trip. I make sure I Tuff Glide the pivot and notch on a regular basis. I have a 1930's Schrade easy opener that was carried and used everyday by my Grandfather, it still walks and talks like the day it was bought. I suspect the UK Pen knife will hold up for a good long time.
Cheers,
Rob
