Anyone mess with a Spyderco Vagabond? I picked up a couple on sale and they seem to be a decent little knife. They are fixed blade and have a blade cover that swings out of the handle. 2-3/4" AUS6 stainless blade made in Seki City Japan, full sized handle (5") and pretty typical Spyderco fit and finish. Nice little hiking knife -- just 2.7oz. I'd put it on par with a mora, but a little shorter.

I bought two (on sale). I like them. I put one in each of my vehicle's kit.

It's pretty beefy. I keep thinking about buying more at that price ($!5) but I figure my wife wouldn't be so happy about that!

Does it have a full tang? Anybody know. I myself am looking for a 3 inch fixed blade. Having Scott gossman's PSK has me hooked on small fixed blades. :)

I've had one for about a year. I tested the handle with a strong magnet and found the tang goes about a third of the way into the handle. In other words, it's not a full tang. But it seems hell for strong to me. Of course I never tested it to destruction.:)

This is Cliff Stamp's review: http://www.cutleryscience.com/reviews/vagabond.htm

I find it a light, handy little fixed blade and one of the items that is always in my backpack.

I always thought the fold away sheath was weird, but at $15-25 bucks it would be a great buy!
