Hello All:
I've been out of serious collecting a few years now, but still have a few "Collector" Spydercos that I'm seriously considering selling to raise some cash for a new toy (Swarovski EL binocs, need to raise a LOT of $...). Knew what they were worth 5 years ago, have a basic idea now, but would like the assistance of someone more fluent than me in current values. Please e-mail me at gjg@athenet.net or PM me for more info.
Thanks,
Greg

it would help if you listed which ones you have.

I wasn't sure how to approach this, don't want to turn it into a "For Sale" thread, but I'll probably get more responses by listing, so here goes:
1) Ti Herbst PE
2) Ti Lum tanto PE
3) Jess Horn jigged bone PE with zipper case and papers
All NIB (no box for the Horn, tho, just the case) and numbered.
No Clue on the Herbst especially, the others I have a reasonable idea, I think. Not going to e-bay them, I'll post them here and KF IF they go up and I don't have 2nd thoughts...
Thanks,
Greg

Assuming "like new" condition, Ti Herbst and Lum usually bring $200 to $250 and C27 PE Jess Horns go in the $250 - $300 range. No surprise that you have no box for the Horn, they did not come in one - just the pouch. Of course on eBay there's always the chance you'll do considerably better, or slightly worse, than those numbers.

Greg-Get Zeiss Victory FL's Binocs. Or at least look through a pair. They are the finest Binocs I've looked through.

Lycosa: The Zeisses are on my short list. The hard part is finding someplace in Wisconsin that has a pair to look through.... I DID look through some EL's at a sports show a few years ago, and the difference between the Swarovskis and other good binocs like Steiners was amazing - like HD tv vs regular broadcast. I'd love to get the EL's, the Zeiss, and the top end Leica's next to each other to try out...

As Lycosa mentioned, you owe it to yourself to at least tryout a pair of Zeiss and Leitz binoculars, as they have been doing the binocular 'thing' for much longer.
