Hmm, the (Austrian-made) N690 steel used it the Extrema Ratio knives - so theoretically it isn't a lo-fi steel. ;)
The price point: the Monochrome is a Taiwan-made, the Volpe is Italian-made knife - so the manufacturing costs a "bit" higher.
All in all, I didn't like the Volpe's blade shape (very strange to me), but if it had a "Manix-like" blade, I'd buy one in a second. ;)

Yes, I absolutely agree. I really like the looks of the Volpe but if it had a more traditional drop point or leaf shaped blade I would have already bought two of them.
