Spyderco vs Spyderco

I like the egonomics and steel better on the Endura, so I'd choose the Endura (I did:)).

If they were the same build quality, same price, and the same steel, I'd take the tenacious. I just like the looks better than the endura and im not an overly huge fan of back locks.

-I like VG10.
-Out of my three Enduras, only one has a usable lack of blade play.
-For ME, the Endura handle forces itself on you; very uncomfortable.
-2 FRN Cara Cara 2's developed noticeable blade play, one G10 developed slight play but is heavy! much more comfortable for me than the Enduras. I might buy another Cara 2, I'll never buy another Endura or Delica.
-The Tenacious looks like a finger guillotine.

I don't see the point of any of them! :D

Endura for sure. The tenacious has a much more broad blade which I feel is a disadvantage. The endura is much thinner, lighter, and carries much better. The tenacious does have an "edge" in deployment speed however I feel that does not make up for the weight, bulk, and lesser quality. Endura is always classy and the frn actually has more grip the spyderco's Chinese g-10 IMO. Both will serve you well but this vote goes to seki

If the Tenacious had a choil to protect your fingers I d like its ergonomics better. But my Endura is an old favorite. Build quality of both is excellent. A Tenacious with a good carpenter steel would be intriguing.

I have a question. Does anyone own both an Endura and a Pacific Salt? If so, discuss.

I have both, and I prefer the endura. I like the lock on the endura over that of the tenacious.
I like having more blade in my edc knives, so the endura gets way more pocket time.

Thanks for the opinions!
-I thought the endura was as large as the tenacious. QUESTION: Is it, in fact, closer to resilience-size?
-Handle materials: QUESTION: What if they were both in g10?
-What about the FFG? I own an ambitious and (used to own) a cara cara ffg. I was disappointed with the cara's shallow ffg. It just stayed thick from the spine to the edge. The ambitious's grind was waaaay better; it tapered to a fine edge before the bevel was added. QUESTION: How is the grind on the endura?

The Endura is essentially a 4" blade (just shy). Noticeably longer than my Tenacious (~1/2").

I have the G10 Endura (FFG).

The FFG on my Endura G10 is quite fine. It is a great slicer. Not sure if the FRN FFG version is the same.

I would probably go with the endura, i have only handled the delica and the tenacious but it seems that the delica is a bit higher overall quality. But i would have to get a g10 delica/endura if they do another run!

Never handled the Tenacious I'm afraid, but I like the Endura, and the FFG G10 Endura is something else!

I've owned both and have sold both. Neither one suited me at all. The Endura I had was an ATS-55 Endura 3 and the Tenacious was, well, a Tenacious.

The Endura had a plastic handle (which isn't really to my liking), was very wobbly, and was just too large for my uses. Additionally, it didn't fit my hands at all. Not a bad knife, aside from the blade play, but really not suited to me.

The Tenacious had a bunch of really effing sharp spots on the handle which dug into my hands and made for some pretty sweet blisters, blade steel that literally could not do a day's work without chipping all to hell, and it had the unfortunate habit of opening in my pocket. I worked in a warehouse at the time I owned it and the Tenacious could go no more than a few hours into each shift before it got too dull to be of any service...90% of what it was being used for came down to opening packaging and cutting cardboard boxes. By comparison, I could use my Kershaw Cyclone for three or four days without it getting that dull. I had to sharpen that Tenacious more times in the short time I owned it than I have most any other knife, because the steel just couldn't stand up to any actual use. This is why I laugh whenever someone tries to convince me that 8cr13MoV is 'decent steel' - my experience with it was quite different.

So, I've had both and I don't like either one. If I had to go with one, I'd go with the Endura - it's not really a bad knife, but it's not my cup of tea. The Tenacious, on the other hand, is just not a good knife at all (imho).
