Everyone has explained the wave well. Try out a delica or endura.

You could try out the zip tie mod on one of your current spydercos to get an idea of how the wave works-look it up.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well the zip tie wave works. I added a 8" tie to my manix xl and it deploys more reliably that my cqc-15... Going to be hard pressed to find a better blade than a waved XL
