I got mine used, so I dont know how they came(haven't looked them over in the case as I already have one) but mine has a 2 sides(normal) grind, not the chisel most serrated come with. now keep in mind it MAY have been done by the previous owner, but it's one hell of an edge.

I actually ended up removing the chisel grind from my ladybug after a bit of hand sharpening with a benchstone(200 grit). Also broke the tip off the ladybug, but that's been fixed with a tanto now.

It sounds to me like you may have a knife that has been reground, as Chinook was just confirming for me how all Spydies with a Spyderedge are made using the "chisel" grind. I would MUCH prefer one like yours! In fact, I have sometimes avoided buying serrated blades before because of this design.
