Hi, My Name is Will and I'm a long-time Spyderco Fan. Not fanboy, simply an admirer of well designed and crafted folding knives. For me, that means Spyderco. Unfortunately, Sal isn't paying me in cash or product to write this, Yet still I continue to get great satisfaction from collecting and using Spydercos. Sal & Eric and affiliated designers and All at Spyderco:
Love your work:thumbup::thumbup:

So..... after seeing pics of an Endura & Delica in Foliage Green G10 with what appears to be full flat grinds, I am motivated to write about what features I'd really like to see in Spyderco knives.

I suspect there may be previous wishlist threads, but I only recall seeing 'single knife' wishlist/request threads. I see this more as a unified thread if people dig the idea, for features, tweaks to existing designs or whatever.

Many of these wish items are probably things I have read here in the Spydie forum from other Spyderheads, but grabbed my attention and I thought were worth restating.

Ok, here we go.

1. G10 is great, I would like to see smooth G10 scales or a smoothed area on each side where the clip contacts the scale. Save our jeans please Sal!

2. More full-sized folders with the ball-lock. Eg: Military, Endura, Manix II(:D please!!!) - For me, this is an elegant way of having leftie & rightie friendly folders - esp when teamed with ambidextrous clip pos. option.

3. Stainless Steel Police, Endura, Delica etc with torx screw construction, L/R clip and etching (like on the cricket, dragonfly & spin). This would mean better grip, look great and torx would allow for cleaning & adjustment.

4. More framelocks/integrated compression locks I just dig framelocks:)

5. More ambidextrous clip positioning on folders. doesn't have to be 4-way (although I love it on my big Manix and Endura4 FRN). Could have left & right tip-up clip OR L & R tip down. I'm a leftie, and ambidextrous clip option makes me more interested in the knives that have it.

6. More Micarta scaled knives: both FB, & Folders with SS liners.
I realise that this may be a cost of material issue. But on the other hand, we are talking about a wishlist.

Maybe paper micarta for more dressy knives, and linen or canvas micarta for the harder use blades. From my own experience, canvas micarta can have good grip whilst being fairly smooth.

OK, over to you, Spyderco bretheren - What do you want to see from Spyderco?
