Just after i bought this knife i read some bad reviews on the steel etc which bothered me enough that it sat in the safe for over a year.
Recently i went up into the hills for a week camping my this knife.I decided it had to be used it suited the enviroment exactly with dense damp woodland for miles up hills etc.
Lots of wood chopping was done for fire wood etc without a single touch up during the week even though i brought a strop.
I was also happy with the way it handled smaller more detailed work the ergos are amazing on this blade.
The knife was smashed twisted bent everything a knife should and even shouldnt do and it came trough with no more than a few micro chips slight rolling which sharpened out on paper no problem.Which is so quick and easy for a satinless probably because of that razor convex edge.
I had my doubts after buying this knife after the mixed reviews but i was proved beyond doubt its a quality piece and a perfect mix between a little and large knife.Ideal for some time in the bush and the fact its stainless yet so tough is ideal for anyone in damp enviroments like myself.
It can chop like a machete with that convex edge bitting far into anything you strike and it can handle smaller detail work because the ergos work so well.
I would give this knife 8 out of 10 it would have been nine but im woried the torx screws might work loose under alot of heavy use.
Either way id recomened it to anyone loking for that sort of blade.

Thanks for the review, the Hossum line from Spyderco looks very intriguing. Did you have any issues with the sharp corners on the butt? I know you mentioned the excellent ergos but the sharp corners have made me a little wary.

The first cut with this knife was when i rubbed my finger of it when placing it in the choil. Its pointy and hell of a sharp at the choil.
Know what they say but once bitten twice shy.
It can handle good sized logs for a fire and the recurve lets you do smaller detail work with the groves in the back giving good grip.
