Spyderco is doing the right thing for the right reason.

At the April show in Oregon Sal walked by our table and I asked if he would show us the knives in his bag. While showing us several prototype knives he showed us one of the EDM cut "skylines" and explained the project. I also asked him about the rumor I had heard that Spyderco sent a shipment of FREE knives to the workers at ground zero. He confirmed the rumor. I said I would buy the knife.

Try to keep the big picture in focus. The look of the knife is not important. The usage of steel from the WTC is sobering but not relevant. The other knife materials are inconsequential. The important thing is to help the people who lost someone. I'm sure the families would much rather have their family members back than the money, but we cannot bring anyone back. This is one of the few ways we can help.

Thanx for the positive support.

Hey "Think of the Children". We thought long and hard on this question and what to do, how it would be received.

At Spyderco we say, "When you go to buy a drill, you don't want a drill. What you want is a hole. Keep focused on the goal".

You might say that the goal here is that we were "Thinking of the Women and Children". The knife is the drill.

Spyder Punk. input first....then output.

We at Spyderco really appreciate your support on this project. It is difficult for us to "squeeze in" an extra 2800 pieces in Golden.
