Just thought I'd share my recent experience with Spyderco's customer service department. I have a very well used, but NEVER abused, Manix 2. It's the older one with 154 steel and the clear lock cage. The blade was beginning to favor one side, and was starting to rub the liner down near the pivot. I contacted Spyderco and they said send it in along with $5.00 for return shipping. If it turned out to be warranty work, they would return the $5.00. I knew it wasn't warranty work though, it was normal wear from being used in any and all environments. They also said they would call me to discuss any additional cost or if the knife was ready for retirement. In exactly 3 weeks after they received it, they sent it back to me with no additional cost. When I received it was as good as new in regards to smooth operation, solid lock up, an perfect blade centering. It was definitely my knife. The G10 is worn and the pocket clip and blade are scratched, but they also sharpened it to remove a couple of very small nicks in the blade. What more could I ask for? That's incredible customer service! I love that knife! Thanks Spyderco!
