For around $100, go for the Manix 2 or Endura 4 (any flavor).

for $6 more than $100 get the Paramilitary 2 (when they get back in stock)

for close to $40 over $100, get a Military or Superleaf.

Or combo it up with an Endura 4, and a Dragonfly 2 FRN. The Dfly 2 FRN is my favorite knife right now. It's small, but the way it fits in your hand, it feels much bigger than it is.

Some of those prices are a little high. OP, PM me if you can't find better deals.

there is something about spyderco designs that I just cannot get me into paying for them (I did almost traded for one in several occasions). However, I really want to get a pacific salt for some time... I'd love to do some salt water diving with it.

One nice thing about dealing with Spyderco knives, is that you never have to worry about making a 'bum' purchase. I don't care what it is, from the Byrd line to the flagship models, they are all great. As for what to get for a hun, you could pickup a Lum Chinese VG-10 Ti handle, if you know where to look, or a Manix 2 154CM, which is a tank of a knife for strength. The Para-Military 2 is also a good choice.

I'd like something "middle of the road" pricewise around $100 dollars..

I'd like something kind of hefty, not ZT0200 hefty, but maybe something sorta Blur hefty...

manix 2
superleaf
military
paramilitary 2
gayle bradley

all of these fit your criteria. what separates these knives is blade steel and design. also, the paramilitary 2 is out of stock everywhere i checked, soon as they come back in stock again i'm buying one.

Warning. You will start with one spyderco... And then another... And another... And the next thing you know you'll have 20+ spydies!

Ask me how I know!!

Start with a delica or endura. And then go to my favorite, the caly 3 cf with zdp-189 steel.

Thanks everyone for all of the GREAT suggestions and pictures!

So, based on all the feedback, and my taste looks wise, I think I'll go with the Manix II. Looks like one hell of a knife! :D

Thanks again y'all!

Quick question: Not sure if this can be answered, but can anyone recommend a good place to purchase from? Thanks!
