Spyderco's at Wal-Mart

I keep seeing people talk about Wally World carrying Spyderco products and thought about getting a Native III. I went by my local Wally World but they only had Gerber and Kershaw knives. Anyone know if this is just regional or if maybe that particular Wal-mart decided not to carry them. There are a few more in reasonable driving distance that I can go to but I don't want to waste a trip.

Only certain Wal-Mart stores carry Spyderco, and even then, it is limited to certain models (I believe only the Native is currently sold in stores). You can order other Spyderco knives from the Wal-Mart website.

What IS the deal with walmart selling only one spyderco and no others, and at half retail price? Anyone have any actual info on the exclusive walmart/native partnership?

I was in Cedar City recently and had time to kill. So I visited the Wally world next to my hotel. I went in asked the guy in the sporting goods if he had the spyderco native. He said they only had 1 left and it wasn't in the box. I checked it out, Made in China and it had a thumb screw in the hole. Blade play and such, It was not a Spyderco, but was being sold as such. Hopefully this was an isolated instance.

Walmart.com
The prices are still good and they will do free shipping to stores. With the free shipping the price on the S30V Native is untouchable.

Killdozer,

Nice find.

The S30V Native has not always been on walmart.com. The site to store option will be nice, for all those without Natives @ "their nearest Walmart".

I believe the Wallyworld Natives are the C41 series, i.e., Native II. I have not seen Native III's in any stores here.

Here at home in pikeville ky the wally world has the native so i checked it out
the real deal thumbhole, golden colo. EARTH on blade
Very nice knife $39.99;)

My local walmart does not have Native, but they special order it for me. I got it about two weeks later. Very good knife and you can not beat the price. By the way I saw couple on-line dealers, who sell for the same price or couple bucks more, just in case it somebody does not like walmart or does not want to go there.
