I called in for some clip screws to grind down and use as fillers for the holes in my engraved Delica.

And the lady on the phone told me it would be no charge.

YOWZAH !!! Wot a deal! ....thought I.

But when they came....they included a 2008 CATALOG!!!

And now I want a doggone Native 4 !!!!

I think this is very sneaky behavior.

I'm going to report them.

I wish the native 4, black blade enduras/delicas, police 3, etc were actually pictured in the 08 catalog.

Aww, lucky. When I emailed asking what I could do about a torx screw, they just told me to buy the Delica repair kit.

They ARE! It comes in the SUPPLEMENT that they also surreptitiously slipped in with the catalog and numerous other sneaky promotional stuff and it had the flat grind Police in it, too. And I have always wanted a Police, but now this new one looks like it would cut better and they will sell bunches of the stupid things. This underhanded stuff has got to stop! We are going into a recession and a good, understanding company would accompany the rest of us into the pits of doom if they had any SYMPATHY!

I'm still reporting them.

no surprise here. I needed a new clip for a starmate and wouldnt ya know, free clip & free S&H. Actually S&H is genrally always free. These sort of things are what make them the best, there knives are ok too:D! Spyderco kix ass!!!!!
 
They are indeed awesome.

They have worked miricles with with knives I thought were beyond hope.

I must say that you have a great idea with the screw thing. I wouldn't have the guts to do it, but rock on man.

You have the Supplement Pricing Guide, but there is a separate Supplement Catalog. Pricing is always something separate for us. The link I posted above (and here) will take you to the actual Supplement on our site.

I'd even do it if the knife weren't engraved. It's ....fairly... easy to shorten the screws and when you put the screws in, it keeps scratches from laying it down from hitting the stainless handle.

12 screws in a stock knife would even be good. IF.....BIG IF.....people could remember that the 3 for the CLIP will NOT WORK in the other holes.
